Windansea's shark-shack, the tide pools at Hospitals, Sunny Jim's Cave, and the Mount Soledad summit at sunset — I've built entire wedding coverage around this city and never repeated a frame. La Jolla is where I take couples who trust me to find something new.
On the light: The cliffs face west and catch a specific 15-minute band of red-orange light 20 minutes after sunset that doesn't happen anywhere else on the county coast.
Logistics worth knowing: Tide pool sessions need low-tide timing — I check the tide charts before we set your call time and rebook if the numbers don't work.
