Where I shoot
San Diego photography, in all 26 cities I serve.
I'm based in San Diego and I cover the entire county — no travel fees, no distance limits inside the 26-city area. Pick your city below for local session tips, best times of day, and my favorite locations.
How I cover the county
San Diego County is bigger than most people realize — from Oceanside down to the Mexico border is a two-hour drive, and I shoot every mile of it. I break the county into five regions so I can scout light and locations properly in each one: Coastal, Central, North County, East County, and South County. Every region has its own personality, its own golden-hour light, and its own hidden gems for portraits.
Because I only shoot in San Diego County, I've built a mental map of every park, beach, cliff, chapel, and backyard-worthy corner in each city. When you tell me your dream location — or your zip code — I can suggest three great alternatives within a five-minute drive in case weather or crowds change the plan on shoot day.

- • Free location scouting before every session. I visit new locations personally.
- • Permits & parking handled — I know which beaches, parks, and venues require permits and I file them for you.

San Diego service-area FAQs
Do you really travel to all 26 cities with no fee?
Yes. Every session and wedding includes free travel across San Diego County — from Oceanside to Imperial Beach. There's no mileage charge, no minimum session length, no drive-time upcharge.
What if my venue is outside San Diego County?
I do take destination and out-of-county work — Orange County, Temecula, Palm Springs, and beyond. Reach out with your date and location and I'll send a custom quote with travel included.
How do I know which city or location fits my session?
Tell me the mood you want — coastal, urban, family park, historic, in-home — and I'll suggest two or three specific locations that match. I've shot in every city on this page.
Do you handle permits for state parks and beaches?
Yes. Torrey Pines, Sunset Cliffs, Balboa Park, and several other locations require photography permits for portrait sessions. I file the paperwork and roll the permit cost into your quote so there are no surprises.
Can we do multiple locations in one session?
For most portrait sessions I recommend one primary location so we have time to relax and find real moments. For weddings and engagement sessions, two locations within a short drive is easy — I plan the timing around light.
Which region gets booked most?
Coastal is my highest-demand region year-round, followed by Central for engagements and grad portraits. North County families book most heavily April through November.
